ABOUT US

For decades the process of earning a commission, developing as an Air Force officer, and the transition into post-military life have been obscure at best. Both official and unofficial Air Force entities exist to provide guidance and developmental opportunities, yet continually fall short of expectations. Thus, Colin Slade founded CommissionED LLC in 2019 in an effort to not only provide the best possible information to Air Force officers, as well as those who want to become one. With Reed Gann as his wingman, together they host CommissionED: The Air Force Officer Podcast. But information is not enough. Officers need to take ownership of their development. They need to not only learn and understand what it means to be an officer, but apply those principles in their professional responsibilities and personal life. For this reason, Colin has developed multiple courses and a community where they learn and encourage each other to become the officers they were meant to be.

Mission

Professionally and personally develop current and future Air Force officers.

Vision

Be the premier source of information, professional and personal development, mentorship, and networking for Air Force officers.

Colin Slade

Colin graduated from Brigham Young University in Mechanical Engineering and received his commission through Air Force ROTC Detachment 855 in 2011 as a 2d Lt and 32E Civil Engineer. He was then assigned to Joint Base Andrews for four years, which included two deployments to Qatar and Jordan. Colin separated from active duty and entered the Air Force Reserve in 2015. He spent 20 months in a non-participating status and worked in higher education before volunteering for a three-year temporary active duty assignment teaching Air Force ROTC back at BYU and Det 855. Colin then returned to the Air Force Reserve, assigned to the 8th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley AFB, CO. Colin and his wife, Amy, have three boys and love to do Argentine Tango.
